Maryam Eskandari is a Netherlands-based sculptor working primarily in ceramics. Her sculptures bring human faces and bodies together with rough surfaces inspired by brick, fabric and walls. Her work explores memory, identity and the feelings we carry within us. Faces appear, disappear and break through the surfaces around them, reflecting the struggle to be seen, to heal and to find freedom.
